GETTING STARTED
Phoenix race approximately 18 different 1/32 scale category classes including Vintage and Modern F1, World Touring Cars, Vintage Stockers,
Modern ERA FIA GT, LMP, Nascar, Rally, 50-65 sports, 66-75 sports, Jap GT, scratch built models and of course Aussie V8’s.
The goods news is that you do not need to buy a car from every class in order to come racing with Phoenix, rather need only purchase one car
from each of the seven or so most popular classes that we run. Then all you need to do is buy some basic tools including:
» Fine Screwdriver set
» Super Glue or Zap
» BlueTac
» Parma oil or sewing machine oil
In fact your starting initial outlay could only cost as much as $350
- $400.
Quite often, club members have second hand cars for sale, all of which are race ready and in excellent condition.
Buying second hand cars not only makes you race ready, but would
also help reduce
the initial starting cost even further.
Whilst not necessary, you may decide to invest in your own Di Falco
or Professor Motor hand controller.
