Looks like fun, how do I join?
Joining is fairly easy process. Simply go to our
Enquiries page, complete and submit the form and we will get back to you to discuss
the situation.

Do you have Rules of Conduct?
Yes. The Phoenix Slot Car Group Melbourne takes great pride in promoting a fun and relaxed atmosphere and therefore prefer members wishing to join to accept
and abide by this rule. We won't accept any member being abused or made to feel uncomfortable and therefore any member
caught doing so will be asked to leave the club and WILL NOT have their membership renewed.

How much does it cost to become a member?
We offer two Membership Fee options, both of which are very affordable. Once paid for in full, you are covered to
participate in all normal race events.
The only events not covered are the Trophy Events like the Le Mans 24hr
• Fees will be $30.00 Per Person.
• $40.00 for Family Or $2.00 Per child per night.

What cars do you race?
Phoenix race both 1:24 True Scale and 1:32 Scale slot cars. We race
all types of categories from the old Retro historic cars to the most exotic high
performance slot cars. Brands include: Scalextric, SCX, FLY, Carrera, Slot it, Slotter, Revell, MRRC, Ninco,
MMK, Ostorero, Pink Kar, Vanquish, Auto Art and even Scratch Built models.

How often do you race?
Racing events are usually held on the 1st and 3rd Friday or Saturday of each month and start at around 7.00pm,
going until late. You can see what events are on and when by going
to the What's On page of the website.

Can I have a go before I join?
Yes. We allow new members to participate at the cost of $2.00 per attendance. ( plus $5.00 if we have a BBQ ).
After you have attended 4 race events you will be asked to join and pay the Membership Fee.
Note: The club reserves the right to decline your application to become a member if we feel that you do not
promote our philosophy as outlined in FAQ Rules of Conduct above.

What types of events do you run?
We run a variety of racing events such as: Team Racing, Fuel Racing, Timed Racing, Crash'n Burn and even just plain
old Lap Times. No matter the event, we guarantee that you will have fun.

Do you hold classes to help beginners?
Yes. We hold regular Fix it nights in order to assist those members wishing to learn the tips and techniques on tuning
their cars. ( Free )

What type of tracks do you have and can I see them?
We run proper Wooden Tracks as apposed to the old Click together tracks. This prevents warps and twists resulting in much
smoother and better
racing.
