The concept of this category is to have true to scale pre & including 1969 Formula Cars racing.
The object is to have the cars looking as much to scale as possible with an emphasis on appearance which includes the
dimensions of wheels & tyres as well as race results.
BODY
- Revell, ATM, Monogram 1.24 / 1.25 Vintage early 1960s to Late 60s Stockers only allowed. - See above
- The presentation of body (paint design, decals and additional detail pars) has to be as realistic as possible to a 1:1 car of this time.
- Vacuum formed Interior with separate drivers head or vac formed head to be used. Interior has to cover all windows & open cockpits. No chassis parts are allowed to be visible. - ( Mobile Raceways – Mr Slotcars has these Nascar interiors for sale ).

CHASSIS
- Plafit Excel 1300U only
- Chassis has to be adjusted according to the body and its dimensions used making sure that all wheels are covered by the body when viewed from above.
- All original mounting points and basic configuration must be retained.
- No further chassis modifications other than within its design limits.
- No soldering allowed to hold motor in position. Only motor screws to be used.
- Body tape or plastic strip may be used to hold lead wires in place.

- Plafit Excel Fine Screw Sets 1313 may be used instead of standard screws.
- No other mods or add-ons allowed!
CLEARANCE
- 1mm under entire chassis including gear.
WHEEL INSERTS
- 15mm Wheel Inserts can be used on all wheels if chosen.
REAR AXLE
- Oilite bushings or Ball Bearings must be glued in place
- Maximum rear Axle / Tyre width is 78mm
FRONT WHEELS
- Standard Plafit 17mm Front Wheel 1231E only.
- Minimum tyre diameter 24mm & Minimum width 8mm.
- No independent front wheels allowed.
REAR WHEELS
- Standard Plafit 17mm Rear Wheel 8337 with Black Magic Tyre 1342U only.
- Minimum tyre diameter 25mm & Maximum width 13.5mm
- Use of Goo and/or any other tyre softener, liquids etc is not allowed.
- Cleaning with Shellite only is permitted.
PINION
- Only Standard Gearing that is supplied with the 1300U chassis is allowed.
GEARS
- Only Standard Gearing that is supplied with the 1300U chassis is allowed.
MOTOR
- 13D Plafit Fox II Motor. Original lettering “PLAFIT FOX II China” has to be visible.
- Sealed motors are not to be opened or modified in any way.
- Any lead wire may be used.
