HISTORIC F1

  • Any 1:24 true to scale vacuum formed Lexan, PET, resin or hard plastic Formula car body representing Formula Cars up to and including 1969.
  • Cut out & mounting of body has to reflect actual 1:1 car
  • The presentation of body (paint design, decals and additional detail pars) has to be as realistic as possible to a 1:1 car of this time.
  • Minimum 2 piece driver interior (vacuum formed or hard plastic driver body plus separate drivers head) to be used.
  • Interior has to cover all windows & open cockpits. No chassis parts are allowed to be visible through cockpit or windows.
  • If needed, a piece of lexan may be added behind front wheels during racing to ensure lap counting where infra red timing is used. Dimensions no larger than 50mm x 10mm painted black. To be attached by double sided tape under the chassis.

CHASSIS
  • Any commercially available inline chassis that suits Formula body. Chassis may be modified. Body must cover chassis when viewed from above (Exception front or rear axle brackets).
  • Scratch built chassis allowed however must be demonstrated to race director prior to racing to be deemed safe. Body must cover chassis when viewed from above.
  • Chassis has to be adjusted according to the body and its dimensions used.
  • No soldering allowed to hold motor in position. Only motor screws to be used.
  • Body tape may be used to hold lead wires in place.
  • Other additional weight may be added.
