Phoenix wishes to encourage the hobby to be developed as a family oriented adventure which
is open to all to enjoy.
We have over a long period of time developed standards for conduct & marshalling. Competitors must maintain
acceptable standards of conduct and sportsmanship at all times, especially in the heat of battle when things
'go wrong'.
Unsporting conduct and abusive or obscene language will be subject to a first warning by Race Control, a second
violation will result in a 12 point penalty, a third in Disqualification on his or hers nights racing.
We do not wish to disqualify anybody!!! and we consider that acceptable social conduct to be sufficiently
important to set terms and conditions with regard to this matter which all competitors must accept on entering
the Phoenix Slot Car Group.
All drivers must marshal the race immediately following the race he or she has completed. The Drivers Brief
before each event will also cover expected standards of marshalling if needed. Drivers may not talk or shout
at marshals at any time. Shouting at marshals will only delay you getting back into the race. In a multiple
crash, the car that causes the pile-up ALWAYS goes back on LAST! whatever that driver may think or say.
Marshals should not enter into dialogue with drivers.
When marshalling cars, Slow Marshalling can Cost Laps,
Time & even the Race. So drivers, when YOU are marshalling, use BOTH HANDS to
quickly and carefully put de-slotted cars back into the relevant slot.
Lane colours should be on the REAR of each car
At the same time look up the track to check that No Traffic is coming along at high speed
which you might knock off by placing cars back onto the track or with your arm / hand.
Remember that in corners, the rear of cars move out and may interfere with the line of cars on the immediate outside lane . . .

Marshalling is not popular with all racers (especially leading drivers), but it is
important, and you cannot race without marshals! so when you are marshalling, try to do a good job! )

Controllers: All racers will use the controllers provided by the host. The
goal of this rule is to provide all racers with equal equipment to make for closer and cheaper racing.
